Harris Corrections

Offender360 Acquired by Harris

The team here at Syscon is excited to welcome Harris Corrections to the expanding public safety segment here at Harris.

This acquisition of the jail management software solution, Offender360 from DXC Technology Company (DXC), makes it Harris’ second addition to our public safety portfolio this year.

This acquisition adds depth to Harris’ corrections offerings, as each new business division has unique strengths, technical approach, and niche market applications. Since Offender360 is built on Microsoft Dynamics CRM, this will allow the public safety segment to pursue opportunities we may not have previously.

Built for Today’s Corrections Agencies

Celebrating 15 Years with the CTA

Last year, Syscon celebrated 15 years as a sustaining member of the Corrections Technology Association. As we move toward the 2020s, we’re excited to embrace new technology and help our clients make the right technological choices for their agencies. In today’s rapidly changing technology landscape, corrections faces a growing need for:

  • Expanded information sharing
  • Big data
  • Advanced analytics
  • Unified communications (UC) services like video conferencing
  • The capabilities of mobile devices and sensors

If your agency is starting to take a look at new tech in 2019, reach out and see how Syscon can help you make an informed decision. We’ll also be available to chat at the 2019 CTA Annual Technology Summit in Scottsdale, AZ this June — we hope to see you there!

Where We’re Headed: Corrections Tech 2020

Last year, Syscon was a principal contributor to an IJIS Institute reference paper, Corrections Tech 2020: Technological Trends in Custodial and Community Corrections. The paper focuses on current and potential trends that are likely to impact corrections in the next 3-5 years. Working with our co-contributors, our goal was to provide a one-stop, high-level overview of how these capabilities are evolving. Furthermore, we go on to tackle how new technology may address current and future business problems.

Check out the paper here and visit IJIS.org to find more articles and resources.

Leaders in Corrections Tech

As 2019 quickly approaches, we continue to see these technological trends emerge and develop. With a new decade approaching, there’s no better time to revisit this paper and consider what the 2020s will bring. If you’re agency is getting ready to adopt new tech, you can learn more about Syscon’s approach to corrections technology and contact us for a consultation.
